Blue Hors Zack was one of those sires with the most interesting offspring in 2012: At the Oldenburg Elite Broodmare Show, two of his daughters finished in the Brillantring and Hirten Song (above right) took third place in the Oldenburg State Championships. The licensed Sezuan, a genius when it comes to movements, is now being called the ‘next world class horse’. He changed hands for an enormous sum and is now half-owned by Professor Edwin Kohl and his wife, Arlette Jasper-Kohl. Another licensed son named Zonik won the Danish Championships for young horses under Andreas Helgstrand with a 10.0 for his trot and a 9.3 overall score before he was purchased by the Glock Horse Performance Center for Edward Gal. At the 2012 Danish licensing, three of the four premium stallions were by Zack, including the Champion Stallion, Zorba Hojri, and the most expensive stallion at the auction, Zacksu; Zonik also took the Champion Stallion title for four-year old stallions. In 2011 Zack was the sire of three licensed sons in Denmark and one in Oldenburg.
Zack was also a stallion to be reckoned with at the Danish stallion performance test as well: With a score of 10.0 ten times, his son Sezuan scored better than Blue Hors Zatchmo and Zorba Hojris. In Oldenburg a second Zack son named Grevens Zorro (below right) was licensed and his Brillantring daughter Weihcera was sold at the Elite Auction for 50,000 Euros. Zack also sired twelve mares that were admitted to the Danish Elite Broodmare Show. Of these, one received a gold medal as the Reserve Champion Mare, three others silver and eight mares a bronze medal.
Blue Hors Zack, who is distinguished by exorbitant movements, was the 2007 KWPN Champion Stallion. A short time later he took the Champion Stallion title in Denmark and qualified for the Danish National Championships in 2010 with a 9.22 before an injury blinded one eye and he was withdrawn from sport. His sire, Rousseau, who carries the valuable bloodline of the Olympic team silver winning Ferro, was the sire of the KWPN Champion Stallion three time in a row, won the Pavo Cup and became Vice World Champion of young dressage horses. The dam’s sire, Jazz, led the WBFSH dressage ranking four times and was highly successful, even competing in the WC in Jerez in 2002.
Blue Hors Zack – opulent movements in their purist form!
