A young stallion with ultra-modern looks and unbelievably strong movements – he’s fascinating to watch. Extremely athletic and elegant, Blue Hors Edelman immediately catches your eye because of the powerful thrust of his trot, the generous freedom at the shoulder, the desired ‘knee action’ as well as a ground covering, uphill canter and a good walk. Beautiful enough for an English engraving, Blue Hors Edelman is out of the Elite Mare, Trendy, who is also the dam of a KWPN test winner named Charmeur by Florencio. At the deadline for this text, he was still at the Danish stallion performance test.
This mare line of one of the most successful in the Netherlands. Trendy‘s full sister, Orendy, gave birth to the licensed full brothers, Estados and Zhivago, the latter of which won the Pavo Cup as a five-year old and St. Georges classes in 2012. Trendy‘s second full sister, Serendy, produced the licensed, 2008 Pavo Cup winner, Zuidenwind. The third full sister, Andy, took the KWPN Champion Mare title in 2009.
Edelman joins the currently most successful KWPN stallions in his pedigree: His sire, Vivaldi, won the Pavo Cup as a five-year old, then several tests for stallions in the Netherlands with fantastic scores and has now reached St. Georges level with Hans Peter Minderhoud. His son Etoine won the 2012 KWPN licensing and three other sons were licensed. In Oldenburg, his son Veneziano was the second Reserve Champion.
With Blue Hors Edelman we are lucky to have a very noble, strong moving, young stallion with a pedigree that promises success – and certainly an ideal partner for mares with Donnerhall bloodlines.
