Clearly influenced by the looks, appearance and talent for collection passed on by his dam’s sire, Donnerhall, we are delighted to have the current 2012 Oldenburg main premium Reserve Champion stationed in Holtrup again. Cennin presented a striking first foal crop in Oldenburg in 2012, characterized by a strong move-off, elastic movements and a very attractive, athletic type. There is every reason to believe that his foals will make great dressage horses when they grow up.
After winning ribbons in basic tests for youngsters in 2012, he immediately qualified for the Bundeschampionat in the class for five-year old dressage horses but was unable to compete there because of his KWPN brand. His rideability and outstanding character never cease to be amazing and are reflected by his scores in tests. At his 30-day test in 2010 he received a 9.5 for character, a 9.0 for temperament as well as willingness to perform, an 8.5 for his canter and rideability and an 8.0 for his trot and walk. At the KWPN licensing in 2010, he finished in the Champions Ring.
His sire, Vivaldi, won the KWPN stallion series with a 10.0 for his trot. When he was five he won the Pavo Cup, in 2009 he won the KWPN Final in s’Hertogenbosh and now wins ribbons internationally in the small tour with Hans Peter Minderhoud. There are concentrated dressage genes on the dam’s side of Cennin‘s pedigree as well: His dam, Vitana, was successful in international Grand Prix with Stefanie Peters. The dam’s sire, Donnerhall, is truly an exceptional sire. His offspring have won more than
2.5 million Euros and he has sired at least 247 advanced (S) level dressage horses – absolutely phenomenal. In the third generation you find Hemmingway, a son of the Holstein sire, Leandro, who produced countless top sport horses such as Levisto Z/Judy Ann Melchior or the Grand Prix winning Blue Hors Leredo.
Cennin‘s dam line has also produced numerous successful sport horses and advanced (S) level show jumpers.
